Unlike proprietary calculating tools and spreadsheets, Mathcad lets you document, format and present your work while applying comprehensive mathematical functionality and dynamic, unit-aware calculations. Mathcad lets you work with updatable, interactive designs, allowing you to capture the critical methods and values behind each of your projects. Benefits: Easy to learn and use - no special programming skills required Increases productivity, saving time and reducing errors Improves verification and validation of critical calculations Promotes calculation best practices and reuse of calculation content Complete documentation of calculations supports standards compliance" Availability: This product is installed in the centrally managed Windows Labs in the ADIT domain, located in CTLM and the Library, and possibly other campus labs. Additional installations may be made in accordance with the legal scope of the license described below. Scope of License: Campus-wide internal non-commercial use limited site license, available for installation on campus-owned and campus-located machines for use by faculty, staff and students primarily in support of CSM's academic mission.  MathCAD is also available to faculty and staff for installation on personally owned/leased machines, laptops and desktops at home or on-campus.  The on-campus computer must be for the "sole use" of the requesting user and used "primarily for teaching." Media and Licensing Mechanisms: Current Media description:   One program installation CD ROM   Licensing to use this product:   Expiration: Permanent   Seats : 250 Method for Obtaining: If you need MathCAD installed on a CSM-owned machine, AC&N will want you to begin by submitting a request to the Mines Help Center.  Minimally we will need to know your name, your advisor or equivalent if you are a student, your phone extension, the machine's operating system, location and owner, and the general use to which the software will be put.  Please do not submit requests to install the software on a single or limited-number of lab machines; the software "build" on lab machines is frozen in support of the CSM academic mission and AC&N can not accommodate "on-the-fly" lab installations. Cost to Qualified CSM End-Users: AC&N does not currently charge for use of this license in supported labs and classrooms.
